Jason Schmit, DPT

Jason received his Bachelor’s of Science in Zoology from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 2002.  He later went on to earn his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northern Arizona University in 2008 and developed a special interest in orthopedics.  Over the next several years, Jason served the diverse communities of northern Arizona and focused his continued education on the most often encountered impairments, including spine and lower quarter pain. Jason is board certified as an Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist.

Applying this evidenced-based skill set, he helps his patients conservatively manage a host of orthopedic complaints including low back, knee, and shoulder pain, as well as rehab from a variety of post-surgical procedures. Drawing from his personal experiences, from daily commutes by bike to summiting rock spires, Jason believes strongly in the benefits of an active lifestyle. Utilizing a patient-centered, collaborative approach, Jason employs a combination of manual therapy techniques and active interventions to decrease pain and help patients achieve their personal goals.

When Jason isn’t camping and riding bikes with his wife and four children, he enjoys skiing, rock climbing, and eating cheese. To schedule an appointment with Jason in Fairhaven, call 360-715-1152.
