Women’s Pelvic Health

Women’s Health Rehabilitation:

Women’s health rehabilitation is a specialty practice area of physical therapy that addresses the unique medical needs of women. Rehabilitation for women’s health conditions includes treatment for pregnant and postpartum patients, incontinence, osteoporosis, and abdominal, back, and pelvic pain.  At Capstone Physical Therapy, treatment is tailored to your individual needs.

Women’s Health Conditions:

The pelvic floor is a group of muscles, ligaments, and fascial connections that help us control our bowel and bladder function, support the internal organs, provide core stability, aid sexual function, and also pump lymph and blood throughout the pelvic region. Pelvic floor dysfunctions occur when these muscles are overactive, underactive, or have impaired control and coordination. Physical therapists at Capstone will teach you how to properly use these muscles to improve your overall pelvic floor function.
