Jeannett Penner and Doniel Hagee physical therapists at Capstone Physical Therapy in Lynden received Board Certification as Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist on June 17, 2013.
Less than 5% of Physical therapists in the USA are certified as orthopaedic specialists by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialists. Physical Therapists receiving the orthopaedic clinical specialist (OCS) have demonstrated by examination and years of clinical experience that they have advanced knowledge, skills and clinical reasoning in the area of orthopaedics.
Jeannett and Doniel are continuing to furthering their education with The American Institute of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy. Jeannett is also in her final year at the University of Montana; completing her doctorate in Physical Therapy. We are very proud of Jeannett and Doniel for their commitment to their profession, education and for providing the very best patient care.
Jeannett has been a Physical Therapist for over 16 years. She received her bachelors of Science Biology Degree from Washington State in 1994 and her Master in Physical Therapy in 1997 from Chapman University. Jeannett has received advanced training in orthopaedics, manual therapy, women’s health and geriatrics.
Doniel has been a Physical Therapist for 8 years. She received a degree in Athletic Training from Eastern Washington University in 2002 and her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2005. Doniel has received advanced training in orthopaedics, manual therapy, sports rehabilitation and post-concussion management and prevention. Doniel is the Athletic Trainer for the Bellingham Bulldogs semi-professional football team.
